What Is Considered After Temporal Lift?
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure in which the form of the nose is reconstructed. Nose is among the most prominent features of the face. For this reason, it would be quite difficult for a person to avoid in their daily life any feeling of discontent they have for their own nose. Such a situation which the person is not pleased with, or which is not welcomed by the other people connected to that person will also have a negative impact on the person’s self-esteem, their psychological condition, and their social and occupational status. That is exactly why rhinoplasty (nasal plastic operation) is the plastic aesthetics intervention that is most frequently performed.
It is possible to reduce or increase the size of your nose and to change the shape of the nose tip or the nasal hump with rhinoplasty. You can narrow the nostrils or modify the angle between your upper lip and your nose by rhinoplasty. In addition, rhinoplasty can correct a congenital defect or the impacts of a trauma or help to resolve breathing problems.
For high self-esteem, we tend to want to look young and fresh. However, increasing sun exposure in particular leads to accelerated skin aging. But even those who avoid the sun are not immune to natural aging. In general, the young, fresh expression decreases with increasing age and often gives way to a sagging and wrinkled, less vital appearance. It is often the area around the eyes that supports this impression.
Drooping eyelids and bags under the eyes can make some people feel older than they really are or feel. Like the rest of human skin, the area around the eyes also changes over the course of life – at some point the elasticity decreases. The nature of the skin in this area is to blame for these natural aging symptoms. Compared to other parts of the skin, the skin here is very thin and also more sensitive.
As a result, one's own gaze appears more tired and slack than before, there is a lack of youthful radiance and the eyes appear swollen. Many people then no longer feel really comfortable in their own skin in the truest sense of the word and decide to have an eyelid surgery blepharoplasty in Turkey in order to look fresher again. This eyelid operation is rarely a medically necessary procedure, which is why the eyelid correction is also one of the plastic-aesthetic corrections, i.e. the so-called cosmetic surgeries.
Cosmetic eyelid surgery is technically called blepharoplasty, which is a procedure to remove fat along with excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. However, blepharoplasty does not correct crow’s feet and other wrinkles or eliminate dark circles under your eye and lift sagging eyebrows.
Blepharoplasty can be performed alone or in combination with other facial procedures (e.g. facelift, brow lift).
Blepharoplasty candidates are usually 35 years and older, however, if droopy and baggy eyelids are common in your family, you may decide to have the procedure at a younger age.
A few medical conditions make blepharoplasty riskier. These include thyroid problems (e.g., hypothyroidism and Graves’s disease), dry eye or lack of sufficient tears, hypertension or other circulatory problems, cardiovascular conditions and diabetes. Eye diseases such as detached retina or glaucoma require caution. If you experience any of these or similar conditions, you should share this information with us during the planning stage of the operation.
Blepharoplasty Eyelid Surgery Types
Depending on the type of blepharoplasty eyelid surgery you have chosen, either the upper or lower eyelid will be corrected or tightened.
Upper Blepharoplasty
During the upper eyelid surgery, the patient's drooping eyelids are tightened. This eyelid surgery is either performed on an outpatient basis or involves a one-day stay at hospital. This eyelid operation usually takes about 30 minutes.
After the skin has been disinfected, the plastic surgeon first draws the area to be changed so that he later knows exactly where to make the incision.
Then he numbs the upper eyelid with a local anesthetic. For the cut, he uses either a scalpel and scissors or a laser or a very fine electric knife, which at the same time obliterates small blood vessels. In the area of the skin fold of the upper eyelid, he removes excess skin, eyelid bags and, if necessary, parts of the ocular sphincter. Tightening of the underlying connective tissue is also possible on request. Furthermore, the removal and relocation of fat deposits is possible. When your eyelid doctor is satisfied with the result, the surgeon carefully sews up the skin incision and makes sure that the skin scar is in the area of the natural skin fold region and is therefore hardly visible later.
Lower Blepharoplasty
In blepharoplasty eyelid surgery of the lower eyelids, the excess skin of the lower eyelid, commonly referred to as tear sacs, is surgically removed. But a bulging of the orbital fat tissue due to age-related tissue relaxation can also be a cause. Often it is a combination of both. The lower eyelid surgery is usually also done on an outpatient basis or is associated with a one-day inpatient stay. It usually lasts about an hour.
As with other eyelid surgeries, the surgeon first marks the area that he wants to correct on the patient who is awake and sitting upright. There are two common methods that can be used for lower eyelid correction surgery:
Most common procedure
The eyelid doctor usually starts at the lower edge of the eyelash and makes a barely visible incision, one to two millimeters deep, below the edge of the lower eyelid. He guides this about five millimeters outwards into the laugh lines. He then removes excess fatty tissue and parts of the eye ring muscle and then pulls the skin tight. The underlying connective tissue can also be tightened if necessary.
Procedure with good skin elasticity
In young patients in particular, who have good skin elasticity, there is no need to remove skin. In this case, the surgeon can also make the incision in the conjunctival fold (transconjunctival blepharoplasty). It offers the advantage that no visible scars remain.
Even in patients who only suffer from a protrusion of fatty tissue, access is now from the inside of the eyelid. This has the advantage that there are no visible scars and the wound healing is less risky and faster. Careful hemostasis is important with this method.
No matter which method the eyelid doctor chooses for the eyelid operation the scar is hardly visible later.
Risks of Blepharoplasty
In general, you can contribute a lot to the success of the eyelid surgery by following the doctor's recommendations exactly. So it is very important that you take it easy during the healing phase and do not subject the incision lines to excessive stress and movement.
As with any medical procedure, blepharoplasty carries risks such as bleeding or infection. In rare cases, complications or unwanted changes occur, such as asymmetry or over- or under-correction. However, these have become rarer due to improved procedures in recent years.
Nevertheless, overcorrection, i.e. removing too much skin, should be avoided at all costs. As a result, the patient could no longer close his eyes in extreme cases and his eyesight is in danger. Therefore, blepharoplasty should always be performed by a plastically trained ophthalmologist.
Blepharoplasty Recovery Period
Once the surgeon has finished the procedure, you will be taken to a patient room. There you can recover from the operation. It is usually sufficient if you remain on site for a few hours after the operation so that doctors and nurses can check your condition. Patients who have received general anesthesia will need to stay a little longer. It is advisable to organize someone who can help you on the way home after the eyelid correction has been carried out.
After the procedure, the eyes are bandaged with bandages and an elastic compress. You will also receive eye drops to keep your eyes constantly moist. In the beginning, you should rest as much as possible and lie in bed with your upper body slightly elevated. Avoid activities that strain your eyes, such as reading or watching TV. In the first few days after the eyelid operation, you will probably feel a slight pressure or soreness, which can be contained very well with painkillers.
After the blepharoplasty, the eyelids are still swollen for some time and bruising is quite normal. However, the swelling subsides within a few days.
The surgeon either uses self-dissolving threads for the stitches or an appointment is required to remove the threads about a week after the operation.
After seven days you can return to your usual everyday life. After a total of 14 days, it is possible to use cosmetics. However, you should avoid sports and physical exertion in the first three to four weeks after the blepharoplasty.
Face lift threads are one of the most common used non-surgical way of face lifting. 100% absorbable PDO material is used for face lift threading. Facial thread lift is applied with local anesthesia. The procedure is not painful and the downtime is around 1 week. There is no age restriction. Thread lifting for face has instant results. The main focus of this treatment is to create more defined jawline and reduce the depth of nasolabial lines.
PDO threads have been used mainly for cardiovascular surgeries. Since they are 100% absorbable they were introduced to medical aesthetic procedures. After 6 months the threads will melt completely but the effect created by these threads will last 1-1,5 years.
Face threading starts with an entry point. The threads are inside a cannula. Barbed threads inside blunt cannula are placed under the skin layer. Cannula is sliding under skin layer and when it is drown back the barbed threads will fix and lift the skin.
Our body will realize the threads as a foreign body and start to produce elastin and collagen around it. After 1-2 months all threads will be wrapped by our new collagen. Our skin will be lifted. After 6 months the threads will melts completely, the effect will last 1-1,5 years.
According to the principle of the golden section, the distance from the nose to the upper lip should not exceed 1.2 - 1.5 cm. But due to aging or individual features of the structure of the face, this area may be longer. This makes the face look older.
Lip lifting surgery, also known as upper lip shortening, is applied to people who are not satisfied with the length of the upper lip area and whose teeth are not visible enough when smiling. While the young lip is short, smooth and voluminous; aging lips are longer, curve-free and voluminous. Lip lift is the process of shortening the lip vertically for a more aesthetic appearance and a higher upper incisor appearance. When the vermilion part of the lips (red part) is less visible, the upper lip appears shorter and the lip-to-nose distance appears longer. The long distance between the nose and the lips causes an aged appearance. In this process, the upper lip refers to the area between the base of the columella (middle column of the nose) and the reddish-pink area of the lip. However, this range may vary according to the person's facial features and face sizes. In lip lift surgery, it is aimed to create an angel wing effect on the lips by reducing the distance in this area of the person.
Today, especially in recent years, the importance given to the appearance of the lip has increased. For this reason, lip aesthetics is among the most preferred aesthetic applications. Lip Lift; It defines the lip lines and gives a permanent fullness to the upper lips. Lip Lift is a surgical procedure applied to the upper lip. Since Lip Lift is a surgical procedure, swelling may occur on the lips after the operation. It is possible to have swelling on the lips after Lip Lift surgery. This swelling, which has formed, usually decreases within 1 week (7 days) and disappears on its own. The lips are relieved by applying ice compresses on the first day of the Lip Lift operation and for 5-6 days afterwards. Ice compress application helps to reduce swelling. Edema passes in 1 week, but minimal swelling may remain. It takes approximately 4-6 weeks for this minimal swelling to go away and the lip line to settle.
As early as three weeks after the operation, patients will begin to see their results. Over the course of three to four months, further clarity and improved lip ratio will become evident as the skin tissue begins to soften over time.
With the transferred fat cells continuing to function for many years, the effects of facial fat transfer can last for a very long time. It's crucial to remember that not all fat cells injected will survive and that some may be reabsorbed by the body. To make up for this, your plastic surgeon might slightly overfill the treated areas, and if necessary, they might advise touch-up procedures. The results durability can also be impacted by lifestyle choices and the natural aging process.
Although facial fat injection is typically thought to be safe, there are always potential risks and complications with any surgical procedure. A few of these include an infection, bleeding, slow wound healing, scarring, uneven skin contours, and negative anaesthesia reactions. These risks can be greatly reduced by selecting a qualified, board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive expertise in facial fat transfer.
The cheeks, temples, under-eye area, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and even the lips can all benefit from facial fat injection to address volume loss and contour deficiencies.
In order to achieve a more thorough facial rejuvenation, facial fat transfer can be combined with other cosmetic procedures like facelifts, neck lifts, eyelid surgery, or laser skin resurfacing. Your plastic surgeon will talk to you about your objectives and suggest the best possible combination of procedures based on your particular requirements.
After the fat has been collected, it is processed to remove any extra fluid, blood, and other components and concentrate only the healthy fat cells. Typically, centrifugation or filtration are used in this procedure to produce a purified fat graft that is prepared for injection.
Utilizing a liposuction technique, the donor fat is typically removed from the abdomen, thighs, or flanks. The plastic surgeon will delicately remove the fat using a tiny, blunt cannula.
