We work with two main systems: Invisalign aligners and fixed braces.
Each has its role. They don’t compete — they solve different levels of complexity.
What are aligners — and can they replace braces?
Aligners are transparent, custom-made trays that gradually move teeth into the correct position.
They are an advanced, эстетичный alternative to braces — but not a universal replacement.
They work best in:
- mild to moderate misalignment
- gaps between teeth
- minor bite corrections
In complex cases — severe crowding, deep bite, jaw imbalance — aligners alone are not enough.
Braces, or even surgical correction, may be required.
We choose the system based on anatomy, not convenience.
Treatment duration
Aligners
- Average: 7–9 months
- Moderate cases: up to 12–18 months
- Complex cases: longer
One key advantage — the full treatment timeline is planned digitally before you start.
Braces
- Average: around 18–24 months
- Range: 12 months to 2.5+ years
- Complex cases may take longer
Braces allow more control, but require more time.
Age and timing
Orthodontic treatment can start early — around age 7 for initial assessment.
Some conditions should be treated during growth phases:
- jaw development issues — earlier intervention
- bite discrepancies — often between 8–13 years
For adults, there are no restrictions.
Aligners and aesthetic braces are widely used at any age.
Comfort and adaptation
Placing aligners is simple and non-invasive.
The process takes about 30–60 minutes.
After installation, there is a short adaptation period:
- mild pressure or discomfort in the first days
- slight irritation of soft tissues
This is normal. It usually resolves within a few days.
Oral health during treatment
Orthodontics does not cause cavities.
Poor hygiene does.
Before starting treatment:
- all cavities must be treated
- professional cleaning is required
During treatment:
- brushing after every meal
- use of orthodontic and interdental brushes
Discipline directly affects the final result.
Follow-up and visits
Aligners
Ideal for international patients.
- 1st visit: scan, planning, ordering aligners
- 2nd visit: delivery of full set
After that, treatment continues at home.
Retainers can be placed locally after completion.
Braces
- Visits every 4–6 weeks for adjustments
More control, but requires regular monitoring.
Result
